The Cardinals

Blake is enjoying baseball.  He is making great strides in hitting, throwing and catching.  He is doing great and having fun.  He really loves it.  He loves his dad assistant coaching.  Bryan is coach pitching and does well at it.  It is really fun to watch.

These are some of Bailey and Blake's friends from Coop.  Some of them were also in my drama class.  They all had a great time at the park after Skate town.  We are enjoying getting to know them on various field trips and extracurricular activities.

Boy Scout Crossover Ceremony.

Blake, Drake and their Boy Scout Bear friends are now Weeblos for the next two years. Bailey and her friend Tage think they have graduated to the next rank too.

I guess in a way they have for putting up with all of this. We have all learned much on the journey. I need to go pick up my new Boy Scout book and get to work.

Honoring Sergeant James Newport was touching. It was nice for the boys to see who their gifts were going to this winter while he was in Iraq. One of the den moms gave him a beautiful plaque. He was in tears. It was a lovely tribute!

Mac Daddy!

I am once again way behind on my blogging.  I have tons of cute pictures that I am trying to figure out how to get on to my brand new MAC COMPUTER!  Bryan's friend gave it to him for doing a job for him just to be nice!  I'll say!!

My head is swimming.  I don't even know what to do with it.  It is so nice.  It speaks another language though.  My sister loves hers and the more I learn about it, the more I love it too, it is taking some getting used to, to say the least!

Week before last we went roller skating accidentally thinking it was our end of the year party.  I had the wrong date.  Bonus for the kids!  It was Micheal's first time, my legs were black and blue for a week from red light green light.  He had a great time!  We also went to a home school book fair where I bought all my curriculum and the kids bought Snap circuits a Geodes making kit.

Thursday we attended Crossover a boyscout graduation where Sergeant James Newport was honored for coming home safely and fighting in Iraq.  Blake is now a Weeblos!  Go Blake!

Last Friday the kids had much fun at and end of year party at Skate town, and then hanging out for a picnic with their Coop friends at the Park.  

We also had  baseball photos before our last regular season baseball game.  Yesterday we took our first trip of the year to Six Flags and got our passes.

Boy Scouts and World Conservation Award!

We had a wild day in boy scouts today! The boys made animal tracks, solar prints of leaves, labeled the leaves, built a waterscope and observed waterlife with it, collected seeds and labled them, collected rocks, shells and minerals, made a bird caller, talked about excavation and explored soil layers, did a soil experiment, viewed a local land slide and sink hole, and talked about how to prevent and fix one through vegitation and reinforcement terraces and metal poles. Also talked about erosion and how plant life helps with that. They also cleaned up a local stream while taking in the animal life and identified sources and sollutions for water pollution. It was a SUPER, SUPER busy day! It was fun and they earned their World Conservation Award! They did a great job.

The Home School Talent Show

I was amazed at the Home School Talent Show. The children were so amazingly, well, TALENTED. Bailey and Blake did I Don't Dance from High School Musical, and Bailey was also in an American Girl program with her Kingdom Kids Coop class. They were very brave and very cute. It was by far the fastest moving and best talent show I have been to.

Bailey had a slumber party for her birthday this year. Believe it or not I think they were all actually sleeping by 2:30. It must have been all the singing and dancing they did in the back yard. I think they wore themselves out! When they arrived, we made homeade pizzas and then did the pinata. This year, Bailey wanted to do cupcakes. I found candles that were sparklers. They were cool, but I wish we had waited longer before she blew them out! They were a lot of work to get lit.
