Friday morning, we headed out for the first day of our 10th anniversary celebration, we did a little shopping in Southlake Town Square and checked out one of the beautiful brownstones, and then we checked into the Gaylord Texan.
I then headed off to the Spa Relache, for a Super Body Detox by Ionithermie. It was interesting to say the least. It is a seaweed clay body mask, with electrodes. The girl at the front counter said her muscles were sore for four days and that some people lost up to 8 inches during the treatment.
The therapist went through all the relaxing motions while preparing me for the treatment. She let me know that to recieve the full benefit, that an intense contraction of the muscles was desirable. I told her I wanted my money's worth. It took a while to relax while the muscles intensely contracted and relaxed, but overall a very enjoyable experience.
We then headed to dinner at the Silver Fox in Grapevine. Our reservation wasn't until 8:30, not bad for us old folks, we usually eat at like 5:30. The steaks were so tender you could cut them with a butter knife. Everything was perfect. It was absolutely delicious! We even were treated to "dessert juice" at the end of the meal, by our waiter.
