Bryan has to travel from time to time with work so in February, we went with him to Houston for a quick Sunday drive. On the way home, we decided the pay Sam Houston a quick visit. Did you know that Texas is the only state in the union that has ever been its own Republic, so, it really is a “whole other country!?” We love you Sam Houston!!!
We actually saw men working on the side of the road from the prison too with armed guards on horses standing by. We told the kids on the way through town on the way to Houston how horrible it would be to be in prison. It was kind of cool to see a real "chain gang" working, minus the chains.
I think prison should be more like the prison in Maricopa County, Arizona. There would be much less burden on society if they all worked like that. The prisoners are too tired to cause too much trouble when they are working! They probably don't want to go back either when they can only get G rated cable.
