Bailey and her friends were talking about families today at the bar when I was washing dishes. I don't really know how it came up, but her friend said she didn't know her dad. Bailey quickly said, "we can share my dad, he wouldn't mind." Her friend's face lit up. She said, "ok, that sounds good," and that was the end of that.
I love how honest and matter of fact kids are. If you listen, they will tell you what they are thinking, almost always, sometimes it is just a look. If you are persistent, they would love to tell you what is in their little heads. It just takes paying attention to take care of their needs. I hope they never loose that innocence!
