Welcoming Home Troops!

If you get a chance to go to the airport and welcome home troops, please do it. It was so sweet. Out of 95 men and women on the plane we greeted only one man had family at DFW airport. The rest we going on to other destinations.

What a blessing to get to personally thank the men and women who put their lives on the line for others. It was such a touching experience to actually see the faces of the men and women who are sacrificing for others on a daily basis.

It was beautiful to see the Veterans who were waiting to honor the young men and women be honored in turn by the waiting crowd. It was gut wrenching to see the mom waiting to see her son again!

All of the children were having the troops sign the posters they made for them. It was so sweet to see their faces as the children asked them for their autographs. I hope everyone who steps back on US soil after service has that kind of reception!

Thank you!!! I found your blog from someone else's, I think. My husband is Air Force Reserve, and we have been fortunate enough to avoid an overseas deployment so far. It is always so touching to see that people care and are thankful for what our men and women in uniform are doing for us.
