2009-2010, Blake decided to play Matt McBrydes trumpet in the band. We had it cleaned, polished and dipped in silver and away Blake went on his band adventure. He even made the band for the next year to get to play with 8th graders in the 7th grade. (Wind ensemble)
The above is NOT BAND! It is the choir they made him be in. The schedules got messed up and Bailey didn't get to be in choir and Blake was forced to be in choir. After the first concert, the choir teacher told him he didn't have to perform any more...nice!
Blake was not really happy about having to put on his Yankee uniform last spring, but it is always fun to play. This season, he is a cub. He is getting to play catcher. He is really enjoying it and showing improvement. For his birthday in the summer maw maw and paw paw took him to see the Rangers on a friday night. People put money on the button the Rangers gave him all night and wished him a happy birthday, he even made it on the jumbo tron. It was a great night. After the game, there were even fireworks! Then we got to watch the Mavericks finish playing. Overall an excellent birthday!
